Florian Elie showcased a Bloodborne scene reimagined as a colorful and stylized environment.
Take a look at this gorgeous stylized Bloodborne fanart created by 3D Artist Florian Elie, Lead Artist at Shiro Games, using Unreal Engine 5.
The artist created the entire scene from scratch. The goal was to reimagine the legendary dark streets of Yharnam in a more colorful and stylized version using Unreal Engine 5. Indeed, with vivid violet and orange shades, the location takes on another inflection, becoming more fairytale-looking. However, the artist skillfully recreated the scene's buildings and the street's outline, making the contrast in mood even more striking.
According to the creator, another focus was to proceduralize as many things as possible using Houdini and Substance 3D Designer. Other software that the artist used included 3ds Max, ZBrush, SpeedTree, Substance 3D Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, and Photoshop.
In our interview, Florian Elie talked about the project Green Green Grass of Tunnel and discussed building and texturing a brick wall, making grass, and adding the wind effect and falling leaves:
The artist also shared the workflow behind the Immerged Temple and Forest Pathway project, discussed the challenges of constructing a large-scale ancient megastructure, and gave some tips for optimizing lighting and post-processing techniques:
