Stylized Half-Life: Alyx-Inspired "Liquid-In-A-Bottle" Effect
A classic trick.
This clever hack never gets old. While many games have used it over the years, Half-Life: Alyx is probably the most iconic example and has inspired countless projects since.
This version by Andrian1GB is particularly interesting, and the artist has shared details about how it was created. The liquid effect turns out to be originally from Fortnite, while DX_Nacca recreated Unreal Engine's VirtualPlaneCoordinates node inside Blender.
