Check Out This Mayan Caves Dungeon Scene Created with ZBrush and Unreal Engine 5

It's very detailed, and it looks like a setting you could find in a video game. It's really cool.

Ahmed Mostafa, 3D Environment Artist, shared on his ArtStation the Mayan Caves Dungeon project, explaining that his goal was to make an extensive and cohesive environment while experimenting with new workflows that could improve his production skills.

Mostafa shared that the environment is divided into 6 sections, from A to F, and he worked on each as if it were a separate entity, achieving a different storytelling in each section.

He explained that he used a shared library of modular assets in every room to have a more balanced environment, but to avoid a repetitive look, he hand-sculpted the rocks and architecture.

Here are some of the sections:

The artist added that he used a custom RGB mask material system to unite the different assets and accelerate the texturing phase. He also used Lumen for lighting and Nanite to maintain the quality of the high-poly sculpts. The scene is very detailed, and every element creates a story that you could imagine in an adventure game.

This was created using ZBrush, Blender, Substance 3D Designer, Substance 3D Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, and Unreal Engine 5. Here are some images of the materials, texture, and assets:
