Have a Look at this Detailed and Realistic Container Port
It's very immersive, with a clouded sky and a rainy atmosphere.
Barış Kılıç, Environment Artist, shared the Container Port project he did for Leartes Studio.
"Inspired by real shipping docks, this environment captures the essence of industrial spaces where workers operate, and machinery looms large. The goal was to create a detailed and immersive environment that reflects the grit and functionality of such spaces," said Kılıç.
Kılıç added that some medium and small-scale assets, as well as the cinematic renders, were provided by the Leartes team. The ocean was sourced from the Unreal Marketplace, and everything else was crafted from scratch by him.
The artist took inspiration from the concept art by Sebastien Fauvergue and tried to add more details and create it with his storytelling, looking for a more balanced environment. Here is the concept art:
Making the principal part of this environment took 16 weeks to complete, working around 35-40 hours per week, and the lighting and polishing were made in around 8 weeks, working 50 hours per week.
The environment was made using 3ds Max, Substance 3D Painter, Substance 3D Designer, ZBrush, Unreal Engine, DaVinci Resolve, and Marmoset Toolbag. Here are some WIPs the artist shared:
