Take a cassette and enjoy the experience.

Mixed reality concepts are getting both more creative and practical. Don't have an expensive sound system at home? No worries, just set it up in the virtual world with a headset – an idea presented by XR Interaction Designer Greg Madison using Meta Quest 3.
He showed what a spatial application like YouTube Music could look like, and I have to say it sounds awesome. With Madison's Unity-powered project, you can simply choose a cassette from a variety of tapes, which you can hide inside your wall or desk, for example, and enjoy the tune, complete with its music video. Use gestures to move the interface, open your collection, and even go through your favorite pieces manually – everything to simulate the real deal, just more conveniently.
