Assassin's Creed Voice Actor Calls AI Voices The 'Invisible Enemy'

Victoria Atkin is ready to fight for her rights.

Voice actress Victoria Atkin, known for her role as Evie Frye in Assassin's Creed Syndicate, discovered that her voice had been synthesized using artificial intelligence and used in fan-made mods. In an interview, Atkin shared she strongly opposes such usage. The actress added she was shocked to learn that her voice had been used without her consent.

"I was kind of shocked, really, that it's been used without my say, without my consent, it's just out there," Atkin said. "To think that my living could be taken away because somebody could copy it and modify it and make me say whatever they want me to say, it's extremely frightening… It's a threat all around. It's kind of like this invisible enemy that we're fighting right now."

The actress and many of her colleagues are genuinely concerned about the idea of their voices being cloned using AI. Atkin added the contracts she had signed during her work do not currently address this issue, as AI tech has just started showing up.

The actress is ready to fight for her rights and push for clauses related to AI to be included in contracts. What's your take on the situation? How can actors protect their voices?
