Chaos Phoenix 5.1 Released

The update brings features to speed up workflows and Phoenix Standalone Simulator's support for Time Bend Resimulations and animations.

Chaos has released Phoenix 5.1, the latest version of the liquid, fire, and smoke simulation software. The update is meant to speed up your workflow and brings support for Time Bend Resimulations and animations to the Phoenix Standalone Simulator.

It introduces enhanced volume and particle shaders and an upgraded preview of forces with a new Force Streamline preview. Additionally, both Force and Velocity can now be converted to native 3ds Max splines and rendered.

Common for Maya and 3ds Max, you can now control Absorption Color and Phase Function in Particle Shader's fog mode.

3ds Max got more changes in the update; you can deform volumes and particles by tweaking the modifiers that bend, skew, taper, twist, melt, or stretch the simulators.

It's also now possible to preview simulations with V-Ray CPU’s Interactive Production Rendering.

Phoenix 5.1 is available for $70/month or $390/year. Learn more about the changes here and don't forget to join our 80 Level Talent platformour Reddit page, and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
