There are some great nominees for this year’s award for best indie game at IndieCade. Some of these games may be familiar to you from other game conferences and events, such as SIGGRAPH and E3. There are 36 nominees this year and the games will be of all genres and for all major video game platforms including console, PC, Mac, virtual reality (such as Oculus Rift), and additional categories like table top games, sports, performance art, and live action RP.

The competition is tough and whatever games comes out on top will definitely have bragging rights. However, that’s not to discount the other games that don’t win, as they are all unique and exciting. There are multiple categories for the awards.

  • The Grand Jury Award
  • The Visual Design Award
  • The Audio Design Award
  • The Game Design Award
  • The Story/World Design Award
  • The Technology Award
  • The Impact Award
  • The Interaction Award
  • The Special Recognition Award
  • The Audience Choice Award
  • The Developer Choice Award
  • The Media Choice Award
