Netflix has revealed that Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of the latest Avengers, will work on a new animated series.

Netflix has revealed that Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of the latest Avengers, will work on a new animated series as part of a new partnership between the giant and Hasbro’s Allspark Studios.

The series will be set in the world of the legendary card game, and the show will follow the adventures of the Planeswalkers, spellcasting heroes from the game. The announcement comes with a teaser that features Chandra Nalaar, a mage from the plane of Kaladesh who happens to be one the game’s most recognizable heroes.

The Russo brothers, the Marvel heroes behind Civil War and Endgame, will get help from Octopie’s Mike Larocca and Isaac Krauss as executive producers. The series will be managed by Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars’ Henry Gilroy and The Tick’s Jose Molina, and the animation will be created with the help of director Yoriaki Mochizuki at Bardel Entertainment.
