Beyond Good & Evil will get its own movie thanks to Netflix.
Rob Letterman, the director of Pokemon Detective Pikachu and Goosebumps, will lead the adaptation which is described as a hybrid live-action/animated feature. Jason Altman and Margaret Boykin from Ubisoft Film & Television will be producing the project.
The original story is set in the 25th century on a remote mining planet under alien attack. The first part tells the story of a young photojournalist Jade who got recruited by an underground resistance movement.
The game was originally released in 2003 and almost 15 years later, in 2017, Ubisoft announced the next chapter. The movie is still in its early stages and the team is now looking for writers to prepare a script.
