Bethesda's Pete Hines Promoted to Head of Global Publishing

Erin Losi who has been on Hines' team since 2005 will take over his former position.

Bethesda's SVP of global marketing and communication Pete Hines has been promoted to head of global publishing at the studio.

That's according to GamesIndustry.biz which also claims that Erin Losi, who served as vice president of global marketing and communications at Bethesda Softworks and has been on Hines' team since 2005, will take over his former position.

Hines has been with the company for more than 20 years. He joined Bethesda in 1999 as a member of the marketing team, and since then served in various positions gradually becoming one of the main faces of the company – he has regularly communicated with both the press and the players, and also spoke at E3 presentations.

"It's a privilege to lead global publishing for Bethesda, a place that’s been my home for 23 years," Hines said in a statement. "It’s humbling to think about how far we’ve come in that time, and I’m excited to work in this new role to help our world class teams make great games."

Hines was congratulated on his new position by both Bethesda colleagues and Microsoft representatives, including Phil Spencer who noted that Hines' "industry leadership and strong relationship with the community has extended Bethesda to millions of players."
