The Last of Us Part 2 Gets Record 13 BAFTA Nominations

Another record was broken by the PlayStation exclusive.

Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part 2 received record 13 awards at this year's BAFTAs, and it's the largest number for a game since the show launched in 2004.

Previously, Remedy's Control and Kojima Productions' Death Stranding were nominated for 11 categories each at last year's event, but The Last of Us now holds the new record.

A number of other PlayStation titles got several nominations: Suckerpunch's Ghost of Tsushima received ten, Insomniac's Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales received seven, Dreams received seven, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure got four.

When it comes to games from other publishers, Supergiant's Hades is the biggest success with eight nominations. Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Ghost of Tsushima, Hades, Half-Life Alyx, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and The Last of Us Part 2 will fight for the Best Game award.

The BAFTA Game Awards 2021 will be live-streamed on March 25 with Elle Osili-Wood as the show's host. Don't forget to join our new Telegram channel, our Discord, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we are sharing breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
