LinkedIn, the employment-focused social media platform, is reportedly venturing into the gaming sphere. The platform is currently developing in-app games, intending to enhance user engagement.

As a professional networking platform that connects professionals across various industries worldwide, LinkedIn allows users to create a professional profile, connect with colleagues and other professionals, share content, apply for jobs, and much more.
According to a report by TechCrunch, LinkedIn is working on three puzzle-based games: Queens, Inference, and Crossclimb.
Speaking to TechCrunch, a LinkedIn representative expressed the platform's enthusiasm about the gaming initiative. The representative stated:
“We’re playing with adding puzzle-based games within the LinkedIn experience to unlock a bit of fun, deepen relationships, and hopefully spark the opportunity for conversations. Stay tuned for more!”

The representative clarified that there is currently no release schedule planned for these games, so it's still unknown when users will be able to enjoy these new features.
As spotted by app researcher Nima Owji, it seems LinkedIn is considering a concept where player scores would be categorized by workplaces and companies will be "ranked" based on these scores.
The extent of investment from Microsoft, a major player in the gaming industry, in this gaming project remains unclear, as the LinkedIn spokesperson declined to elaborate on this aspect.
