Valheim Sold 1M Copies In A Week

The latest Steam hit Valheim managed to sell over 1m copies in a week, the game's publisher revealed.

The project is a Viking-themed survival game launched as an Early Access title on 2nd February, which quickly became the biggest thing on Steam and Twitch.

Valheim had a peak of 160,000 concurrent users on Steam and got over 127,000 viewers on Twitch during its first week. The title is the debut game of Swedish studio Iron Gate. It is published by Coffee Stain (Goat Simulator, Satisfactory).

A Steam post announcing the sales numbers from Iron Gate also noted that they are now working to deal with some issues players are experiencing.

"Our inboxes are filled to the brims with fantastic feedback and suggestions and we are overjoyed to see how engaged our community is in Valheim’s development. We are currently hard at work addressing issues some of our players have reported to maximize the game experience for more Vikings," Iron Gate wrote.
