VIVE Mars CamTrack: Plug & Play Real-Time Virtual Production

VIVE Mars offers quicker virtual production, lower latency, and high mobility.

HTC announced VIVE Mars CamTrack – a real-time virtual production solution that "provides accurate camera tracking for live video compositing with a set-up time that only takes minutes."

The solution allows moving between any number of virtual backdrops in real-time using SteamVR Tracking 2.0 technology and VIVE Trackers. VIVE Mars doesn't require installation, which greatly reduces the set up time.

It also offers genlock, timecode sync, and "robust connections" to reduce latency. Additionally, VIVE Mars provides up to three Rovers to track cameras, lights, or props.

VIVE Mars CamTrack contains:

  • Mars x 1
  • Rover x 3
