Xbox to Integrate Discord Voice Chat

Discord announced they teamed up with Xbox to introduce voice chat functionality to Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. Users will be able to open the Xbox mobile app and set up voice chats and transfer them to the platform by connecting Discord to their Xbox accounts.

The update allows cross-platform communication meaning that players on PC and mobile can also join a chat hosted on three platforms.

Please note that the update is currently being tested inside the Xbox Insiders program – the two teams promise wider availability is coming soon.

Previously, Discord announced plans to integrate its platform into the PlayStation Network, plus Sony had made a minority investment in the company.
