DON'T NOD Is Working on a New Action RPG Codenamed Project 12

The project is set to be a "large-scale" game that will be "richer in terms of game mechanics" and allow players to "immerse themselves in even more-engaging stories."

DON'T NOD, the studio behind Life Is Strange, Remember Me, and Vampyr, has announced that it is currently working on a new action RPG codenamed Project 12.

The studio revealed a €40 million capital increase aimed at bolstering its action RPG efforts, citing the genre as a "very promising" area of focus, and shared that a new unannounced action RPG, Project 12, is in the works.

According to the studio, Project 12 will be a self-published game representing a "step up in terms of production value." DON'T NOD also says that the title will be "richer in terms of game mechanics" and allow players to "immerse themselves in even more-engaging stories."

Little is known about the game but apparently, it's in the early development stages since it will be released after 2025.

The developer is also currently working on another action RPG, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. The title was unveiled at The Game Awards 2022 and is promised to be a "beautiful, intimate and powerful story" set in a dark fantasy world, with two ghost hunters and lovers, Antea Duarte and Red, being at the center of the storyline.

The game is produced in partnership with Focus Entertainment and is scheduled for release this year.

Along with Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, this year will also see the release of Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, the self-published adventure game which follows a girl named Polly who discovers her ability to access the realm of the Aspirations of Humanity as the goddess Harmony, with the power to restore balance.

DON'T NOD previously announced that it was planning to release eight original games between 2023 and 2025, five of which would be self-published, one published in cooperation with Focus Entertainment, and two – with external studios Tolima and Tiny Bull.
