Foundry Released Mari 5.0v4

The update adds a new Teleport node system and some enhancements.

Foundry has launched Mari 5.0v4 – a small update for the 3D texture painting software. The new version adds a Teleport node system designed to help declutter your NodeGraph networks by transmitting data from a Teleport Broadcast node on one part of the node graph to a Teleport Receiver node on another.

Other than that, the update added metadata names for streamName, streamPretty and streamShort for internal Bake Point nodes of Multi-Channel Bake Point nodes. They can be used to allow token replacement for texture export templates. Additionally, batch baking Bake Point node menus now create individual undo records.

The new version also features some lights, Node Graph, and shading enhancements.

In addition, Mari now operates under a subscription plan, which costs $68/month or $689/year for a single license. Foundry has also added a new $1,199/year subscription plan for teams. Perpetual licenses are no longer shown on Foundry’s website.
