Free Blender Add-on That Hides Vertices And Locks Editing

Hide Only Vertex add-on allows you to prevent Proportional Editing from being affected while the area remains visible, or to prevent it from being selected.

This simple and handy add-on is a must-have when working with Blender's Proportional Editing.

Essentially, it prevents Proportional Editing from being affected, hiding vertices and protecting them from editing, while only faces remain visible. To turn on visibility, simply do a regular Alt+H Show Hidden combination.

Hidden vertices are removed when you enter Weight Paint Mode, Vertex Paint Mode, or Sculpt Mode. In the UV Editor, hidden vertices are synchronized in UV Sync Selection mode, as the add-on can't remove hidden vertices from the UV Editor.

The controls are very simple, just toggle the Hide Only Vertex option in the Mesh or Curve menu.

Hide Only Vertex supports Blender 2.8 and above. The latest updates add the option to hide only unselected vertices and support processing for multiple selection objects during simultaneous editing.
