God of War PC Dev Is Working On a "Flagship" Live Service Game with Sony

Following the PC port of God of War, the Canadian studio continues to work with Sony and is currently developing one of Sony's "flagship" live service IPs.

Canada-based studio Jetpack Interactive which is best known as a developer who helped bring Santa Monica's previously PlayStation exclusive, God of War, to PC, said it is currently working with Sony to develop one of its "flagship" live service IPs.

The studio revealed the news in a LinkedIn post, saying that it is currently looking for programmers who would join the team to work on a new live services title with Sony.

"We are hiring programmers to join our small & nimble team at JETPACK. We’re excited to embark on a new live services title with Sony – and we’re ready to launch," the team wrote. "If you’re an experienced game developer and want to join our team to ship a AAA title, reach out!"

The studio also mentioned that it is "working directly with Sony to develop one of its flagship IPs within its much anticipated live services games portfolio."

Sony currently has only one live service game, MLB The Show 2022, however, in May, the company revealed that it is planning to have 12 live service titles by the fiscal year 2025.

Elsewhere, Jetpack Interactive also said that it "continues to work with Sony Santa Monica on the God Of War franchise" which might mean that the studio will also be responsible for the port of the upcoming PlayStation sequel God of War Ragnarök to PC. However, Sony is yet to confirm a PC version of the game.
