It might ultimately be proof of concept now, but the point of showing a low-count bounce raytracing that still looks decent especially after denoising gives us a nice roadmap on the future. Maybe given time, we will move to this as the new standard or at least a probable alternate to baked lighting.

New Call of Cthulhu Game Announced

Cyanide Studio and Focus Home Interactive announced Call of Cthulhu, providing some info and a couple of screenshots.

Developed by Cyanide, new installment is stated to be PRG-Investigation game with psychological horror and stealth mechanics, built around deeply immersive world.

On a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family on a backwater island, the player will soon uncover a more disturbing truth as the Great Dreamer, Cthulhu, prepares its awakening…
