Speaking of gaming revenues via consumer spending by region, Newzoo notes that the US market will generate $50.5 billion surpassing China by $300,000. The firm attributes that to the Chinese government's move to limit new game releases and young people’s gaming time in the country.

However, Asia-Pacific still remains the biggest region by revenues by a massive margin generating $96.3 billion. Although Western regions also show strong growth due to the great performance of PC in Europe and console in North America.

The analysts predict that the gaming market will show continuous growth reaching $222.6 billion by 2024 due to innovations across PC, mobile, and console.

The mobile market will keep adapting live services and hybrid monetization with games getting more and more complex and immersive. Besides, console- and PC-first companies will bring their franchises to mobile devices to strengthen their growth and increase their revenues. PC and console, meanwhile, will expand subscription services to give players the ability to choose their way to play.
