PC Version of The Last of Us Part I Gets Significant Updates

The patch improves performance across the board, optimizes the game further for Steam Deck, and fixes numerous previously identified issues.

Naughty Dog and Iron Galaxy have recently launched a major patch for The Last of Us Part I on PC, version 1.1.0, which brings updates that enhance performance, optimize the game further for Steam Deck, and resolved previously identified issues.

Some notable changes include:

  • enhanced game performance across the board;
  • streamlined utilization of CPU and GPU resources for improved efficiency;
  • enhanced loading of textures for improved visual quality;
  • the shader compilation process has been expedited for faster performance;
  • multiple bugs, including various visual glitches, were fixed;
  • a new Very Low graphics preset has been added;
  • multiple crashes affecting players with Intel GPUs were fixed;
  • a new Dynamic Lights Quality setting in the graphics menu has been added;
  • a crash that could occur in Photo Mode when saving images in 4K has been fixed.


In addition, the developers have implemented several improvements specific to The Last of Us Part I on Steam Deck, due to which the game achieved full compatibility with Valve's portable PC. This means that the gameplay has undergone thorough testing and optimization to ensure an optimal experience on the Steam Deck.
