Pirate-Themed Battle Royale Event Starts in World of Warcraft

Plunderstorm invites 60 players to find out who's the best.

World of Warcraft has seen many different events, and here's another one for your enjoyment. Plunderstorm is a battle royale mode where 60 players fight to become the only pirate in the neighborhood.

"Get swept away in the Plunderstorm — a fun, new, limited-time, pirate-themed event of prodigious proportions lasting the next several weeks. Scour the map and try to be the last pirate standing while dashing across the Arathi Highlands to find abilities and upgrades while plundering loot just to survive!"

You can get cosmetics, pets, titles, and mounts out of the event even if they don't win the matches.

The developers have also updated the power of some set bonuses (there's a lot, you should check them out here) and fixed multiple issues with raids and dungeons. They are trying to find a better balance, so several trinkets have been changed.

Moreover, the Battleground Blitz mode will now feature more capture-the-flag maps and a new buff for non-tank specializations. Also, the 150% mount speed increase will be adjusted as it's a little too much, in Blizzard's opinion.

"We believe these changes will be healthy for the game mode and we want to ensure adequate time to observe feedback on them while Battleground Blitz is a brawl."

The event is now live; learn more about it here and join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on InstagramTwitter, and LinkedIn, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
