Virtual Production Dojo has published a new course that covers best practices and industry standards in Digital Human Creation, Animation, Scene Building, and Pre-Visualisation methods.
The course is prepared by Virtual Production Dojo, a certified Reallusion center. It uncovers workflows for creating fully rigged, realistic, and fantasy Digital Humans, from designing background personas to rendering followed by animation stack and blend techniques.
With the course, you'll receive a Complete 3D Character Desing & Animation Reallusion bundle: Character Creator 3, iClone 7, 3DXchange 7, HeadShot (Plug-in for Character Creator).
In the first module of the course, mentors will show you how to create a character concept and persona, design body features and anatomical changes, enhance realism and look development with Skin-Gen dynamic skin effects, customize appearance via Makeup and SFX application. At the end of the theoretical part of the first module, the students will learn how to use cameras, lights for display and how to export characters to other 3D tools. The second part of the module is dedicated to practicing. During practicing you'll start creating a realistic Digital Human (3x life stages: Adolescent, Adult, Old), and functional realistic Digital Character for interactive or virtual production.
The second module covers the iClone Animation workflow:
- Real-time animation techniques
- Character introduction and animation blending
- Scene design and building
- Full Body and Facial animation tools and methods
- Implementing Lip-Sync and voice-overs using AI Tools
- Lighting and Cinematic Camera animation
- Rendering and Exporting
- Introduction to Extension Plugins for other 3D tools
- Introduction to Post Production
This module also includes a practical part that allows students to use Digital Human, prepared in the first module, design and build scenes for the character, work on animation sequencing and camera placement. The last steps will be rendering and exporting the ready-for-portfolio scene with a Digital Human.
