Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution is a remake of Pokemon: The First Movie released in North America in 1999. The new version debuted in Japan last year, and now comes to the US and will be out on Netflix Original on February 27, 2020.
In the remake, researchers create a weapon based on an eyelash of a mythical creature, Mew, by using cloning technologies. The new creature, Mewtwo, goes against every law of nature. Later, Mewtwo finds out about his origin and seeks revenge. Eventually, Pikachu and his friends get into the center of the conflict.
