This New Blender Asset Pack Allows You To Generate Large Forests

Check out Forest Master – Deciduous, an asset pack with an efficient Geometry Nodes system to create vast forests by simply drawing curves.

Forest Master – Deciduous is a new Blender asset pack made by Joshua Börner, a 3D artist specializing in Blender.

Forest Master comes with 25 tree models (small, medium, and large) that provide a realistic appearance while maintaining a high performance. The assets are specifically designed to provide a realistic appearance from a distance but appear less detailed when observed up close. Naturally, this compromise ensures high performance on a larger scale.

The main feature of this pack is that it allows you to simply draw forests with curves, meaning you no longer have to deal with weight painting and manual placement.

The pack also has intuitive controls for tweaking parameters such as tree density and distribution, empowering you to refine the forest with ease. All sets of trees come with individual settings depending on the size.

The forests can also be customized with your own vegetation assets.

Forest Master is very easy to use since it's not a plug-in, but a collection of assets featuring Geometry Nodes, meaning it requires no extra installation or new unfamiliar UI elements. The .blend file can be simply added to your Asset Browser.

The pack also comes with documentation and a video tutorial from the author himself.

Joshua Börner notes, that Forest Master's tree assets are made for use with the Cycles render engine. In the Render Settings, under Light Paths, Transparency needs to be set to 32 or higher to achieve the desired result.

The author highly encourages users to share any thoughts and suggestions to improve the product based on the input. The pack is said to support Blender 4.0.

Forest Master – Deciduous is available to purchase at Blender Market for $14.99.
