UE5-Powered Dragon Quest XII Announced

Square Enix has officially revealed the logo for Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate at the end of a brief livestream celebrating the series’ 35th anniversary.

Dragon Quest XII is said to be planned for a simultaneous worldwide launch but they didn't reveal the exact date. The company also announced they are using the brand-new UE5 to develop the game on Twitter. 

Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate will be the first game in the core series since Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, launched in July 2017 in Japan. The team originally hinted at the existence of the next game by series creator Yuji Horii in a New Year’s message published on January 1, 2020.
