A huge update to 3ds Max has been released by Autodesk.
Autodesk has released 3ds Max 2022, the latest update to 3ds Max. The release updates several common modeling tools, including Smart Extrude and the Relax, Slice, and Symmetry modifiers; and adds new pre-configured maps to the Bake to Texture system.
3ds Max 2022 was released as part of a wider series of updates to Autodesk’s Media and Entertainment software, alongside Maya 2022 and MotionBuilder 2022.
The updated version features such changes as:
- Updates to key modifiers (Slice, Symmetry, Relax).
- New presets for common map types.
- New viewport AO controls and renders configuration UI
- Updated security features
3ds Max 2022 is available for Windows 10. The software is rental-only. Since the previous release, the cost of subscriptions has risen to $215/month or $1,700/year.
