Castle Takes Command at Amazon Game Studios

Co-founder of Westwood Studios joins the team behind Crucible.

Louis Castle, co-founder of Westwood Studios, has become the new head of Amazon Game Studios, Seattle. Louis and his team created the beloved Command & Conquer franchise, enriching the RTS genre. He worked with developers like EA, Zynga and Kixeye, so he knows a couple of things about creating blockbuster experiences in every genre.

A BAFTA and GDC Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Louis will work with the team behind Crucible, the competitive multiplayer action game that’s built for streaming. But that’s not his only project.

I’m thrilled to join the talented game makers at Amazon Game Studios. Their dedication to community, customer experiences, and quality is exhilarating! I’m excited to start using Twitch, Lumberyard, and AWS to build awesome new experiences for players, casters, and viewers alike.
