CRT TV with Poor Viewing Angles Made in Blender

KerosineIsland gave a new turn to the screen with one material.

If you remember good old CRT TVs, you'll have something to say about this cool project by Reddit user KerosineIsland, who used Blender to create a screen with poor viewing angles in one material.

As the TV turns, the image on the screen gradually disappears, and if you're an owner of such a TV, you'll (together with many users in the comments under the post) probably be quick to note that CRTs actually don't have such an issue, it's LCDs' problem. Whatever the case, it's a great project, makes you think of back-in-the-days.

KerosineIsland used the TV model by Timothy Ahene. They explained that they combined 3 tutorials to achieve the result. Here is one for the pixels:

"In my first go at making the screen, I put a sheet of glass in front of the plane with pixels. I really liked the look of the natural blurring, but the render times were unjustifiably long," KerosineIsland shared.
