AI applications are only beginning to materialize. It's so exciting what neural networks will do to art workflows in the coming years.

Rens has recently uploaded another awesome video, showing some colossal stuff you can do with modern tech. The render that the artist uses is unsurprisingly called Unreal Engine 4.

The assets used here were produced with the help of Substance Designer, GrowFX (ExLevel) and SpeedTree. All these tools are actually available to the general public and are pretty affordable even for personal users and not just studios.

The visuals look absolutely stunning, depicting some impressive stuff you can do with current tools. It’s kind of scary what could be achieved by 3d artists in a couple of years.

Btw, if you’re interested in the machine he uses, the hardware specifications are available online.

Dual 1080TI in SLI
(using single GPU foreal-timeme work)

Intel Core i7 5960X
Asus X99-E WS
Corsair 64GB DDR4 2400MHz

Acer 28″ Predator XB281HK G-Sync 4K
