It seems that Don't Nod might be planning on creating a whole franchise of Banishers and releasing a sequel to Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, which was launched on February 12, 2024.

Speaking with MP1st, the Narrative Director of Banishers, Stéphane Beauverger, shared that when creating a game, the studio is always keeping in mind one thing: a title can become "the first step of a franchise."

"We always consider our games as the first step of a franchise. As a Narrative director, it is part of my job to think ahead about future possible games taking place in the same universe. But such decisions are not made only by creative teams, more teams are included in the process!"

Even though, it's not a straight "yes", it seems that we might hear more news about the sequel in the future.

Speaking of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, the game has a "very positive" rating on Steam, with over 87% positive feedback. Have you played the title? Do you expect the studio to launch a sequel?
