God of War Ragnarök Will be 40 Hours in Length

Out of these 40 hours, almost five hours will be spent on cinematic scenes.

With the long-awaited God of War: Ragnarök being just around the corner, more and more information about Santa Monica's upcoming sequel surfaces every day. Just recently, Journalist and well-known industry insider Tom Henderson revealed the game's length, saying that it will be around eight to nine hours longer than its predecessor, the 2018 God of War.

According to Tom's report, published via Insider Gaming, the entire game will be around 40 hours long, with half of this time needed to complete Ragnarök’s main story and the other half dedicated to side quests. Out of these 40 hours, around four and a half hours will be spent on cinematics, with the remaining 35.5 dedicated to gameplay. The journalist also notes that these numbers depend heavily on your playstyle and are not set in stone.

If true, the soon-to-be-released sequel will indeed be around 8 hours longer than the previous game, with the How Long To Beat website showing that it takes on average 32 hours to complete the 2018 God of War's main story and side quests.
