GTP Indie Cup Winter Season Starts

The fourth CIS independent games contest GTP Indie Cup Winter ’18 started on December 21.

The fourth CIS independent games contest GTP Indie Cup Winter ’18 started on December 21. As before, the cup is held on the team’s website and is completely online. As before, developers have two months to submit their projects – games are accepted until February 15. And as before, GTP Indie Cup is a great opportunity to present your game to industry experts, the press and publishers, get feedback and win valuable prizes.

This time the team introduced new cup features. Now there are 9 nominations: Best PC Game, Best Mobile Game, Best VR Game, Best Art, Streamer’s Choice, Critics’ Choice, as well as three partner nominations – Best Unreal Engine Game, Best Unity Game and Best Corona Game. They strengthened the jury team and invited more streamers – developers will receive useful feedback for sure. They have also prepared a secret bonus for mobile nominees. You will learn the details in February.

And one another important introduction – starting from GTP Indie Cup Winter ’18 only games that are not yet officially released are accepted. The project should not be released before the application is submitted. They want to support independent games that are in development – so they won’t be in the shadow of already successful projects.

GTP Indie Cup Winter ’18 golden sponsors are Appodeal and Unreal Engine. Also on the list of partners: Amazon Appstore, Casual Connect Indie Prize, CG Event, DevGamm, Games Gathering, Inlingo, Nordic Game, Olans Group, Raccoon.World, Sense.Vision, Unity, Streamfest, 3DCoat. Nomination winners will receive even more useful prizes from our partners. Including tickets for the DevGAMM, White Nights, CG Event and Nordic Game conferences. More details on prizes coming soon.

GTP Indie Cup continues to grow. Each season the team tightens the rules for submitting competitive projects – and yet each time there are more and more games. The last three cups showed a steady growth in the quality of projects, the number of nominations, partners and jury members. More than 150 independent games participate in GTP Indie Cup annually.
