KURSK: Release Date and New WIP Shots Revealed
12 December, 2016
Jujubee Games Development Studio is happy to announce that KURSK will be released in the second half of 2017! With the release date, the team behind the game reveals several new screenshots – a glimpse at one of the game’s locations: a luxury hotel room in Moscow in which the player will start off his mission before he moves to the city of Vidyayevo, which was the home port for K-141 Kursk. Additional artwork provides updated characters model which will be used in the game.

With this development update, we decided to show a small glimpse of how a few of the crucial locations in the game will look like. Even though this content is still in “work in progress” state, you can already see where we’re heading. The luxury hotel room in Moscow will be a starting location for our mission. We used many references to show the high splendor of the interior, with a lot of golden add ons, elegant cushion, pillars and of course amazing view from the window. What I’d like to add is that many objects in the game will be interactive. For instance the laptop or the TV set can be turned on and used.

Apart from the hotel screenshots the team behind KURSK has decided to show how far from the early demo version they moved with game characters development.

The hotel in Moscow and the character models are still “work in progress”. We are working on polishing the locations and characters to bring the best possible quality. There are many more surprises awaiting for you in KURSK, so stay tuned for more as the development continues!

KURSK will be the first proper documentary game in history. It will tell the story of the tragedy of the Russian submarine and the plot will be mostly based on facts, so that players will have the opportunity to learn more about these dramatic events.

KURSK will definitely be a game for mature audiences looking for a unique and cinematic experience. We want to prove that games, just like movies or books, are also the right medium to tell true and powerful stories.
