New Star Wars Animated Series

Disney has revealed Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures, a new series of animated YouTube shorts with original dialogue and sounds from the Star Wars films.

Don’t have time for multiple two-hour Star Wars movies? Disney has revealed Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures, a new series of animated YouTube shorts with original dialogue and sounds from the Star Wars films that will introduce the legendary franchise to a new generation.

The first six shorts are said to debut November 30 as a part of a brand new Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.

“Over the years, I’ve had so many of my friends who are parents tell me how much they wanted to introduce their kids to Star Wars but didn’t feel that their kids were quite ready for the movies yet,” James Waugh, VP of franchise content and strategy at Lucasfilm discussed the initiative with StarWars.com. “They wanted a way to celebrate the universe they love.”

The show will be based on accessible animation to prepare kids for the current movies as well as something coming next year.

“With Episode IX coming in December [2019], and being the conclusion of the Skywalker saga—the long journey over 40 years of storytelling comes to its end—Galaxy of Adventures walks through the great moments and themes of the stories that led us here and introduces a new generation to them, in time for many to see this finale,” Waugh pointed out.
