Peeling Skin Effect Set Up With Blender's Geomtery Nodes

The author used Blender 3.5's Geometry Nodes Simulation Branch to create the effect.

3D Artist and Game Developer Shahzod Boyhonov, a.k.a. specoolar, continues experimenting with Blender 3.5.'s Geometry Nodes Simulation Branch, an upcoming framework for Blender that enables you to set up basic simulations, currently in beta, by setting up one more mind-blowing project.

This time, the creator showcased an awesome peeling skin effect that works by generating points and using distance from them to generate the scrapping. According to the artist, the setup was created as an experiment for a CGI project and most likely won't be commercially available any time soon.
