The new narrative-driven adventure game will be out in 2022.
During the SQUARE ENIX PRESENTS virtual showcase, Square Enix and Luminous Productions announced Forspoken, the game known before as PROJECT ATHIA. The narrative-driven adventure game will be the first title Luminous Productions will work on.
In Forspoken, players will take the role of Frey Holland, an ordinary young woman who must harness her magical abilities to survive in a fantastical and dangerous land Athia.
During the show, the team also announced that Frey will be portraited by Ella Balinska who played in Charlie’s Angels in 2019.
“Frey as a character is real, she’s raw, she’s a girl who lost her way—both figuratively and literally—and is a character I immediately connected with, as I feel many people around the world will too when they set off on this adventure.”
