Top-Down Driving Game Prototype Powered by Unreal Engine

The game was inspired by aerial police chase footage.

3D Environment Artist and an aspiring Game Designer Mehrab Behzad has recently shared a small demo, showcasing an impressive driving game prototype with a neat top-down view inspired by real-life aerial police chase footage. Set up in Unreal Engine, the demo depicts the project's early gameplay, showing the player's car escaping from a chasing police vehicle as seen from a helicopter.

According to the creator, the prototype currently uses Google Earth's photogrammetry data as a placeholder, with the developer planning to replace it with modeled roads, buildings, and foliage. Additionally, Mehrab plans to experiment with a procedural approach sometime in the future, so that the levels are different each time and the game's world is infinite.
