A collection of tools by Maxi Vazquez to optimize workflow in 3ds Max.
Maxi Vazquez has shared a script that can automate some stuff in 3ds Max. The tools are tested in Max 2015, so the artist is not sure whether they will work in all Max versions, but they should be easy to modify to work with other versions.
Interactive Tools:
Collection of tools that do different actions when modifier keys are pressed (ctrl, shift, alt).
Plane:
None: Divisions
Alt: –
Ctrl: Size
Shift: Size (lower increment)
Alt+ Ctrl + Click: Align to axis
First Left Click: Place object
Left Click: Accept
Right Click: Cancel
Box:
None: Divisions
Alt: –
Ctrl: Size
Shift: Size (lower increment)
Alt+ Ctrl + Click: Align to axis
First Left Click: Place object
Left Click: Accept
Right Click: Cancel
Cylinder:
None: Segments +1
Alt: Height

Installation: Go into max, run the script, you can then assign them to hotkeys, quad menus, etc. You can find them in the “Maxivz scripts” category.
Note: I have included a context sensitive tool called “Context sensitive Bevel”. It calls my interactive chamfer if its in vertex, edge or borer mode. If it is in the face or element mode it will call the face bevel script. Then you just have to make a click to activate the tool.
If you select an edge or vert on an editable spline it will start the fillet tool as well
