The excitement around Cyberpunk 2077 is about to grow as we now know more about the size of the dev team. CD Projekt Red revealed that more than 400 people are currently working on the game, which will be showcased at this year’s E3 next month.
In a post about the company’s first quarter activity, CD Projekt shared a couple of highlights. For example, sales of The Witcher 3 and its DLC are said to remain the company’s biggest source of revenue.
“The CD Projekt Red studio carried on with intensive development of Cyberpunk 2077, with more than 400 people currently involved in the project,” the company states.
And this is huge because the development team for The Witcher 3 included about 240 developers, so you get the idea. A major part of the Witcher team has shifted to Cyberpunk 2077 by late 2015.
Well, the increased number may be linked to a new crunch policy, of course, but it’s safe to say that Cyberpunk 2077 is the team’s most ambitious project.
The team has also noted this year’s E3 may be the “most important fair in CD Projekt’s history,” so stay tuned for more details on the upcoming game.
