Husk – a Tribute to the Legend of Silent Hill

A new take on the horrors of the masterpiece by Keiichiro Toyama. Domestic abuse, alcoholism, childhood trauma torment the streets of Shivercliff.

Husk is a new horror game that reaches for the heights of the legendary Silent Hill. An independent title will guide you through the horrors of “Shivercliff”. Well, seems like a fresh name for a tribute to Keiichiro Toyama’s masterpiece. The game is described as a first-person psychological horror game that is set in the dread year of 1995.

Here comes the story. You’ve been in a train crash outside the mysterious town and now you can find your daughter and wife. The developers will try to dig all of your inner fears to leave you speechless.

Domestic abuse, alcoholism, childhood trauma are among the bright tones of the game’s plot. A creepy robed man, disassembled dolls, strange figures are the inhabitants of this world.

The studio has also created a fake website that can tell you a few things about the spooky town:

Get to know your neighbors, as they will be excited to spend time with you. Talk to them and discover them. Under their everyday facade lies a complex person with fascinating and terrifying stories to tell. You can be the next big plot twist in their lives.

We hope that the creators of Husk remember that Silent Hill is not a simple horror – it’s a mix of brilliant storytelling, wonderful music by Akira Yamaoka and indescribable oppressive fear. Well, we’ll just have to wait for a couple of weeks to see if there is a piece of Silent Hill here. The game is ready for its release on February 3.
