MapleStory Maps Remade in UE4

Check out remade maps from the first MapleStory game.

RYU Russell shared the recreated version of MapleStory’s maps.

MapleStory is a 2D scrolling MMORPG developed by South Korean company Wizet. In the game players explore the Maple world, fight with monsters, form parties and guilds to cooperate and complete quests to get the in-game money, Mesos.  One of the unique features of the first release was the environment which was simplified in further updates. The game has different versions for some countries and regions and has several publishing companies.

3D generalist RYU Russell decided to bring back the iconic environment look and recreated maps in 3D using Unreal Engine. He kept the same controllers with keyboard and mouse and worked on the details of the first map, adding statues, huge doors, and columns. You can download the new version of the map here. It’s completely free and goes as the raw file UE package. All you have to do is to unzip the file.

You can play the original game for free, too. Please, note that in this case, you’ll need to install the Nexon launcher.

Check RYU Russell’s Instagram account for more artworks. You can find more recreated maps on his YouTube channel.
