There are no limits anymore (if ever) for companies these days. Everything is up for sale. I mean where is the passion for their own product and its integrity? Adobe, Autodesk, Maxon... and that's only the 3D department. When I was young my parents told me about an agency which would survey company aquisitions and growth. I guess that's done with as Disney acquiring parts of FOX proves even further. At least there is Blender...

I mean, they already have Cycles 4D--why'd they need to go and acquire Redshift for?

    This is terrible, honestly.

I want Redshift to stay as software-agnostic as possible, but now, Maxon's probably going to give Redshift all sorts of C4D perks that other options won't see.

Man, I hate software company acquisitions.  I truly do.
