Medieval Buildings Generator Made With Houdini & Unreal Engine

The tool was developed by Technical Artist Hicham Ouchan.

Technical Artist Hicham Ouchan, known for creating complex projects using a wide variety of tools, showed a cool new generator designed to simplify the process of creating medieval cities and towns. Developed with Unreal Engine and Houdini, the tool allows the artist to build medieval houses from modular sets of walls by placing these walls in a random manner. Unfortunately, the generator is not commercially available at the moment, but it is likely that Hicham will make it downloadable in the near future.

"The walls are instanced, as well as extra pieces like support beams and support brackets," comments the creator. "With this HDA I wanted to create a generator that is artist-friendly and easy to use."
