Megascans Plugin for Unreal Updated

Quixel introduced a number of improvements to their plugin.

Quixel has been been working on improving the Megascans plugin for Unreal Engine for months, and they announced they overhauled most of their materials, introduced the new Vertex Blend material, and fixed aa number of bugs. The latest update is compatible with versions 4.23, 4.24, and 4.25 of Unreal Engine.

First, there's an overhauled blend material offering better control over each layer and improving blend quality. Quixel noted that "the material is clean, well-organized, and can be reused depending on your project’s needs."

Each layer in the material comes with toggle-able parameters for tweaking minimum and maximum settings for roughness, specular, and more. There's also a base set of parameters: tiling, rotation, offset, and normal map strength.

The team has also introduced a wet/puddle layer that is blended on top of each layer. Users can change opacity, water normals, tint, and darkening falloff to tint the underlying layers.
