Panic, the publishers for Firewatch and Untitled Goose GameThus, revealed their yellow handheld device which is actually quite surprising, isn’t it?
Introducing Playdate, a new handheld gaming system from Panic.
It fits in your pocket. It's got a black and white screen. It includes a season of brand-new games from amazing creators. Oh and… there's a crank???? https://t.co/WiIPUkpjSq

On Twitter, they showed the new system, a Gameboy-like project with 12 games in it that will be released over a period of 12 weeks from developers of Katamari Damacy and Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy.
The crank here isn’t a way to power, so you can’t get another few minutes of gameplay with the help of it. It is described as a control mechanism for some games, so users can use it along with the D-Pad and two face buttons on the front.
Panic states the team has been working on this device for four years now and the plan is to release it later in 2019, but they assure their followers that there will be more surprises. Discuss the announced device in the comments. You can follow the project on Twitter.
