Since you are open to discussion and critics i would suggest you to use less aggressive language when you are on the internet. I would try something like, "Hey Cem, this is great material and thanks for the article. As far as i know from 80lvl Facebook group you can improve the performance or you may consider dropping the price. Keep up the good job." It doesn't have to be the same words but this kind of attitude would lead to a softer conversation because your intention will be clear.

@derjyn@gmail.com Is there any link or video for the cheaper solutions that you mentioned before? Please share them. I haven't seen any cheaper, faster, HD, loopable and adjustable "normal map" flipbook video that you said in your first post. I would be happy to compare the results in realism.

News

Enlighten, Unity and Polycount are running a great contest, which is aimed at the production of very cool lighting techniques. You get some assets and the awesome Courtyard scene. After that you download Unity 5 and get accustomed with Enlighten tech. Then you are required to create some awesome lighting for the scene and shoot some awesome screenshots. You are allowed to work with light patterns, cameras, composition, light, shadow and post processing. The final version of the project should be presented before the 2nd of August, 2016.

The greatest thing is that contestants are also allowed to change textures and material properties. You can’t reposition any part of the larger structural environment assets such as walls, ceilings, doors etc. And obviously since we’re talking about Enlighten, you are not allowed to  bake the lighting. it’s also required to give a little description, detailing the mood of the project and what the developers were trying to achieve. The final rendered image must be captured in Unity 5 (1920×1080 PNG image).

The contestants will be judged by Sam Budgen & Ivan Pedersen from Geomerics, as well as Kuba Cupisz (Unity Technologies), Alex Lovett, (Shadowood Productions Ltd / Unity Lighting Wrangler) and Bondhan Kimbalazani (ARM).

The lucky winners will get Chillblast Helix 3 17″ Ultra Slim Gaming Laptop, 12 months Unity Pro subscribtion, NVidia Quadro or GTX980, Intuos Pro Graphics Tablet or Kindle Fire tablet. It’s all up to you.

You can find all the details here.
