Skjelvet: Gimpville's VFX Breakdown
24 October, 2018

Gimpville has recently shown the way they set up massive destructions in Oslo for a film called Skjelvet. Let’s watch the breakdown.

“Gimpville did 200 shots, featuring the detailed destruction of Oslo,” states the studio. It’s all about modern tools here and Houdini, of course, but we have to admit that the general level of work is pretty awesome.

“In 1904 an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 on the Richter scale shook Oslo, with an epicenter in the “Oslo Graben” which runs under the Norwegian capital. There are now signs that indicate that we can expect a major future earthquake in Oslo,” states the official description.
